Bud Daniel was the start of AlphaSports in NBA 2K12, replacing his smaller, older brother Rick Daniel. Whereas Rick was a 6’2" point guard, Bud was a 6’9" power forward.
He was drafted by the Knicks halfway through the first round out of Ohio State. He made his mark in early as a spot-up shooter, which would continue to serve him well throughout his career. He supplanted Amare’ Stoudemire halfway through his fist season but failed to lead the team to a title in his first year.
His next two years also ended in disappointment and frustration so he bolted from the Knicks the first chance he got. With several options on the table he signed with the Bulls to join up with Derrick Rose. That union didn’t last long as the Bulls traded Rose straight up for Russell Westbrook. The two of them led the Bulls to two titles and Bud took Finals MVP both times. Bud went to two All-Star games with the Knicks but hardly played at all.
Whether Bud or Rick will star in NBA 2K13 is up in the air. Stay tuned to find out!
